Join the Philippine Baranggay Folk Dance Troupe Music Ensemble

For nearly eight decades, the Philippine Baranggay Folk Dance Troupe (PB) has stood at the forefront of preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines through dance and music. Under the direction of Jard Lopez, PB's Music Director, the new music ensemble continues to breathe life into our musical traditions—celebrating the artistry of Filipino string and percussion music with passion, skill, and authenticity.

We are looking for musicians who are: 

🎵 Aged 18 and above

🎵 Based within easy access to central Manila  

🎵 Intermediate to experienced in playing  

🎵 Deeply passionate about Philippine traditional music, especially string instruments (like bandurria, laud, octavina, guitar) as well as working with indigenous and traditional percussion

🗓 When: Sunday, April 13th  

📍 Where: Manila (registration required via link below)  

⏳ Duration: 1 hour

What to Bring and Prepare:  

✔️ Own string instrument

✔️ Prepare one piece of music of choice
